opamp upgrade for MOTU HD

If you have an impedence mismatch between units then it should sort that. IMO, the LM has a greater degree of transparency than most of the available competitors. Presonus Eureka Ratasheet opamp upgrade? I think they would be an upgrade. Please drop me a personal message if you have. Some regard it as a warm valvy feel, but thats just imo smearing due to poor design and parts.

I’ve done more reading and the LM seems to be the way to go. I’ve read a lot on the net I’m planning to do opamp upgrades for converters soon, too and come up with the following: V DD is the power connection and Vss is the ground connection. Black Lion does mod these as well.

They are pretty stable and are very flat. But at some point, I found you really get into splitting hairs, and the differences are so subtle that opinions get really broad. N e o fa p cuiRadio Co,ld. No abstract text available Text: For some OpAmp comparisons, check this out: So you can’t really put a socket in and play away.

These functionsthe internal reset sources AND. Definitely better than many others used out there. Recently I made some similar modifications to my Echo Gina BB, are favourite replacements. And they don’t have it on their website.

Low-Noise Dual Operational Amplifier

These functions are illustrated in Figure 9, Figurebetween V DD and the Reset pin, thanks to the built-in pull-up device. As above you should reall only hear differences if your say, pre and power are a mismatch. NEs are okay, but surpassed in openness of sound by the LM The time now is But they look superfast, so you will probably need some bypass caps to keep them stable. The NJM isn’t a bad chip. It looks like a simple enough circuit that you would notice an upgrade. December 10, Thanks for the explanation Still not to sure why I bought it though as I was not dissatisfied with the phono stage in my old Pioneer A Still it looks good in the dark and was quite cheap so no great loss, and also it’s no worse so might be of use should I end up with more than one turntable, not that SHMBO will allow that, although she did give in and let me get a wall mount, so I must be wearing her down, it’s only taken 30 years Paul.

So the question for those in the know, is is it a true tube amp or is that OpAmp really doing the amplification. Vd is switched on. Analog Devices chips are also good and some like they more “aggressive sound. If somebody would like to explain to how valve DC sounds different, I’d be delighted to hear about it. They speak of the OpAmps being the biggest weakness. The price from Douk was low enough for me to take a punt and see whats inside, the seller posted a picture of the populated circuit board that appeared to show that there where no IC’s present so it should be a true tube amp, but is it Pictures below How it looks in all its splendor Picture of the top of the PCB showing no IC’s But wait, whats this underneath The 8 leg IC is a JRC which is some form of OpAmp http: Power is supplied to the MCU using these two pins.

Although I’ve had no instability problems with the LMs, I added extra decoupling anyway.

Just seems to take an edge off the digital, so may be a problem, i dont know. You may also want to consider bypassing some of those caps with 1uF film caps as well. Not complaining Regards, Grant Unfortunately it is SMD. IMO, they sound kind of hazy in the highs.

Started by Dualflip Drawing Board. That’s something that be debated endlessly. A buffer is supposed to be transparent. I’m still waiting for some opamps but sure will post samples of different configurations. These functions are illustrated in Figure 9.

Switching to the LM immediately gives a clearer, more highly resolved sound – the subtle details of each instrument are more easily recognizable in the mix. Some people scoff if there’s a solid state rectifier in there instead of “true” tube rectifier.
